(Known in China as ‘Tongye Ginkgo’) Ginkgo biloba  ‘Tubifolia' syn. 'Tubeleaf’ and 'Tubiformis . This plant is available under all three names within the nursery trade. However, because the Latin names ‘Tubifolia' and 'Tubiformis' did not appear before 1959 they are technically incorrect and should not be used, but used they are! This is an interesting male form originating from France the actual source is not documented. It started appearing in The American Nursery Industry circa 1990. 
 
Description – Ginkgo biloba 'Tubeleaf' syn. ‘Tubifolia' and 'Tubiformis has unusual slender leaves which are often rolled into trumpet-shaped tubes. In young plants, the foliage will be more-or-less normal, just a little more jagged in appearance. The growth rate is 15 cm to 20 cm a year. It has a central leader with thin twiggy branches Whist slow when young, in 10 years it may be 2 m high, with a spread of 1.5 m  it will grow on  into a larger tree. It is not known to produce good autumn colour.
