Ginkgo biloba 'Tit' (RHS Preferred name) syn. 'Chi Chi', 'Tschi Tschi' and 'Mamilaria'. This is a male tree orginating from Japan. It derives its name from the irregualr growths found on mature trees called chi-chis (resembling brests, which are actually the beguining of support roots). The tree is multi-stemmed with a 'fan like' habit. Hieght and spread are suggested by some sources to be 2 m in 10 years, but it is more liley to exceed 3 m. the foliage has two broad lobes and good autumn colour.
