Ginkgo biloba ‘Selection Select’ is female. It was found in the Arboretum Gera-Liebschwitz, Thuringia, Central Germany.  Unfortunately, this arboretum is no longer accessible to the public and as a consequence information about this cultivar is difficult to obtain.

Description Ginkgo biloba ‘Selection Select’. The foliage of this cultivar is not typical, there is no distinct lobes, the leaves are fan shaped and entire. The growth rate is 30 cm to 40 cm a year. A young unsupported plant tends to make an irregular bush, but if trained upright will retain a leader from which a well shape tree can emerge if desired. The other remarkable thing is that it flowers in its 10th year and has fruited already. It is expected to reach a hight of 6 m with a spread of 3 m, but this may be exceeded with time.
