Ginkgo biloba 'Ohatzuki Group syn.'Epiphylla' and 'Ohatsuki Icho' this cultivar originates from Japan and is female. It was was discovered in by Mr. Shirai in 1891.

 

Description - Ginkgo biloba 'Ohatzuki Group syn.'Epiphylla' and 'Ohatsuki Icho' A columnar-growing form that reaches only a height of 4 m (growth rate 20cm a year) , with a mostly wide hollow crown. These trees are known to produce flower in adolescence, much earlier than other female forms. The leaves are large, semicircular and often without a slit. Intrestingly the fruits are often fused with the leaves.
