Ginkgo biloba 'McFarland' is a female form.  We belive it originates from the U.S.A. or possibly Canada, however the exact origin is not clear. There is some evidence to support the suggestion that it was, or is used to produce fruit/nuts as it crops prolifically. At present we are unable to provide details of expected height and spread, but we suspect it will be similar to the species and eventually make a large tree up to 20 m with a spead of 8 m. If anybody can provide definitive information, we would be pleased to know.
