Ginkgo biloba 'Kyoto' comes from The City of Kyoto in Japan and was selected for the shape of its leaves and superb autumn colour.
Description – The foliage can be quite variable, as with most Ginkgoes. The twigs however are much finer and a lighter brown in colour. The growth is slow 20cm - 30 cm a year. Ultimately this cultivar was selected for the stunning autumn colour, for which the Ginkgoes in Kyoto are renowned. In 10 years a specimen will be expected to have attained a hight of 2m – 3m, ultimately a height of 10m - 15m can be expected.
