This designation is invalid according to the rules governing plant nomenclature according to  The International Code of Nomenclature for Cultivated Plants (ICNCP), since no Latin names may be given as the cultivar name of a for Ginkgoes. Unless it was named before 1959. There are no references to Ginkgo biloba ‘Columnaris’ being in existence prior to 1959 and a plant does now exist under that name. It can be found listed by several suppliers on the internet. E.g. "bellaflora" Gartencenter GmbH; Poststrasse 3 in A-4060 Leonding; Tel. : +43 501018 and Greer Gardens Nursery (which closed in 2015)
