'BLAGON'® syn. ‘Fastigiata Blagon' originated as a selected seedling and is named after the village; Blagon, Aquitaine, France.
 
Description - Ginkgo biloba 'BLAGON® syn. ‘Fastigiata Blagon', Syn. 'Goldspire' . Is a male form. It has an upright fastigiate habit, the side branches are thick, and the internodes tend to be short. The produces state that it has the potential to grow up to 5m high with a width of 1.2 m in 10 years and has reliable golden yellow autumn colour. 
It is worth noting that the habit can be improved by removing any branches that do not conform to the ideal shape during the dormant season. This has the effect of making the form tighter and more symmetrical.
