Ginkgo biloba ‘Bergman’s Big Leaf’ Syn. ‘Bergman’s Dwarf’, is purported to have been found by Fred W. Bergman’s who owned the Raraflora Nursery, Feasterville, Pennsylvania, U.S.A. in the 1970's. The entire collection was auction off in 1979. It is interesting to note that this predates the purported discovery of Ginkgo biloba 'Bergen op Zoom' by nearly 20 years.
 
Description - Ginkgo biloba 'Bergman’s Dwarf’ has leaves that are larger than the norm and can be variable in appearance. It has an upright, but globular compact habit. It is slow growing 15cm - 30cm a year. In respect of height and spread, sources vary; a maximum width of 1.5 m and a height of 1.2 m (other sources speak of a maximum height of 2 m). The leaves turn a rich gold in autumn.
